The second plenary meeting of the µ-COSMOS project took place in Montpellier on 15-16 January 2025, on the premises of the UMR IATE.

The second plenary meeting of the µ-COSMOS project took place in Montpellier on 15-16 January 2025, on the premises of the UMR IATE.

This meeting was attended by the 4 PhD students (Enora, Claire, Loris and Neda), each of whom, through their discipline, will shed light on the concept of small-scale food recycling using surplus bread as a case study.

The meeting began with a visit of the PLANET platform and its numerous pilot milling and classification facilities, which will be used to generate the bread powders for the µ-COSMOS project, as well as the equipment for their analysis.

The detailed presentations of the 4 scientific tasks of the project demonstrated the richness of the multi-disciplinary approach of the project. The discussions highlighted numerous inter-disciplinary points of interaction, well beyond those initially identified in the initial proposal submitted to the French Agency of Research for funding.
